Galileo Technologies exports gas compressor package to Angola

Pluspetrol acquired a Microskid Process MX 400® compressor package to increase its oil production in the African country.

It is a milestone in trade relations: it marks the first export of this kind from Argentina to Africa, and its realization involved strong support from the Argentine Embassy in Angola.

The compressive power of the Microskid Process MX 400 will be used to increase oil production by injecting natural gas at ultra-high pressure. The technique, known as gas-lift, is employed in wells that have reached their maturity.

Certified for operation in hazardous areas, the packaged unit features a 3-stage MX 400® reciprocating compressor with a power output of 330 hp, capable of injecting a daily flow rate of 1.7 million standard cubic feet (MMscfd) of gas into the well.
