Since the beginning of this year, faced with challenges such as higher than expected decline rate of old wells in the middle and deep layers of shale gas in southern Sichuan, low efficiency of deep shale gas transformation in Luzhou, and complex transformation, Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company has focused on three main lines: "tapping and stabilizing production of old wells, rapid construction and investment of new wells, and exploration and evaluation of new formations", strengthened production organization and operation guarantee, and promoted the continuous upward trend of shale gas production arrow.

Focus on tapping potential and stabilizing production in old wells

Fully promote the dynamic tracking and production optimization mode of "online analysis of production characteristics+early warning of production abnormalities+remote execution of production optimization+on-site tracking". Relying on the intelligent management platform for gas production technology, we have conducted in-depth investigations into the production situation of old well measures, accelerated the promotion and application of large-scale measures, and promoted composite processes such as "multi-stage boosting+bubble discharge" and "circulating gas lift+plunger" on more than 20 platforms, achieving the resumption of production of more than 10 lying flat wells. More than 40000 well operations were implemented throughout the year, and the monthly production decline of old wells decreased from 7.0% to 2.9%, continuously consolidating the foundation for stable production.

Focus on rapid construction and investment of new wells

We will focus on the coordination of management and technology, continuously tackle the special technology of speeding up the drilling of the upper well section, promote the advanced experience of "daily fee system" and "joint management general contracting", achieve a "one trip drilling" ratio of over 40%, shorten the drilling cycle by more than 8% compared to 2023, and achieve a maximum daily footage of 700 meters, setting a new historical high for deep shale gas in southern Sichuan. Systematically studying the mechanism of casing deformation and pressure breakthrough, forming complex prediction, warning, and control key technologies, reducing deep casing deformation to 24.2%, and achieving an increase in EUR per well for newly produced deep wells.

Focus on exploration and evaluation of new strata

According to the overall idea of "accelerating progress, taking serious responsibilities, and strictly controlling the process", the company has established a special team to accelerate the work of shale gas new layers, clarify each link, and shorten the implementation cycle. Accelerate the implementation of the QZS core production area and focus on the implementation of exploration and evaluation wells as well as pilot test wells; A preliminary high-yield well cultivation model for the WJP group has been formed. Based on further summarizing the implementation experience of the Daye 1H well, a new record of gas production has been achieved in the testing of the Daye 201 well, further confirming the development potential of the new formation.

Next, the company will continue to focus on the production targets for 2024 and 2025, striving to win the victory in the new 50 billion cubic meter battle.
